Its been a crazy couple of months….
A while back Sally and I decided that we wanted to sell up and move to the sea-side… So we did.
It wasn’t easy telling friends and relatives, who to be honest I don’t think really believed we’d go through with it was quite traumatic at times but it’s something we have both longed for for the past 10 or more years. Then there are the practical considerations, Schools for the kids, Jobs for us – I’m not so difficult I guess just a lot of work reestablishing myself in a different location….
So here we are we did it.. Up-sticks and moved to the country, we ended up in a lovely hamlet called Friston just outside Saxmundham, we didn’t quite make the seaside but its only 5 mins in the car.
I think this is going to be one of the best adventures I have ever had, especially because I get to bring with me our little family..
This is Southwold front as the sun went down one day after we arrived… It really is beautiful here.
I shot lots of beautiful weddings last year and Katie and Mike’s was definitely a highlight, West Tower country house was simply stunning and the service and food was awesome ! thanks guys.
Congratulations to you both on a beautiful wedding day and I wish you a long and happy marriage.

David and Rebecca had a beautiful church wedding followed by the reception at the very friendly and fun Drayton Manor . The Bunting place table plan was a great idea….
Congratulations to them on a beautiful wedding day.
– It was also great to see fellow photographer David Wadley and his lovely wife at the reception, I have put a photo of them in the gallery below : )
To celebrate our 11th wedding anniversary Sally and I headed off to Bath for a bit of history and a spa – I know, me in a spa…it was as funny as it sounds I had no idea what to do with myself …
We stayed in the Royal Hotel, a lovely hotel right in the middle of the city really friendly staff and a nice homely feel to it…breakfast was fab too, I resisted temptation to pig out on a full English and instead went for smoked salmon and scrambled egg on toast. yummy ! the Thermae spa really was great but for me the star of the show was the Roman Baths and Bath abbey.
I’d wanted to bring Sally to Bath ever since I photographed Helen and Scott’s wedding and fell in love with Bath, It’s a stunningly beautiful city.
Any way, Here’s to the next 11 years – thanks Bath… we’ll definitely be back soon!
( last but not least HUGE thanks to our dear friends Jo and Nigel who looked after 2 of our children and Sally’s Mom & Dad who had the other 2! : )
Sarah looked fabulous in the summer sun and it was a lovely service in St Bart’s ( Joy out did her self with the flowers I think : ) … the Blakelands was fantastic as always I’d love to photograph here more often I’ve been going once or twice a year for the last decade!
Congratulations to Sarah and Daniel on a beautiful wedding and beginning family life together : )
